City Council must enable budget-cutting new health insurance options for retirees, warns Eric Adams’ chief labor negotiator — or City Hall will eliminate existing insurance plans.
The city’s Office of Labor Relations said it will have to enroll retired city workers in the Medicare Advantage health plan and get rid of other plan options if the City Council does not change the administrative code to make way for the privatized plan.
